Natural Dye Workshop

Join us on Sunday, May 3rd for a natural dye workshop from 11am-1pm. During the workshop, we will learn how to fix plant color to natural fibers like cotton and wool. Participants will try out resist methods and take home a sample piece of naturally dyed cloth. Arrive before the workshop at 10am to experience a morning of tending to the dye garden and of self-guided creativity.

Whether new to natural dyes and textiles or an experienced craftsperson, all are welcome.

The workshop will be led by Meagan Hall. Meagan holds a BFA in textiles and a three year medicinal plant practitioner certification.  She has studied mycology, native plants, and natural dyes through continuing education courses and workshops taught by leading experts in the botany and textiles fields.

Please register by emailing katherine@millridgepark.org or by calling 615-398-9091. Space is limited. We are requesting a $10 donation per person to help pay for workshop materials.

Meet at 12944 Old Hickory Blvd, Antioch, 37013. Look for three yellow flags at the driveway entrance. Park in the grass lot. A portable toilet is available onsite.
