Helping Hand Night Hike

Join us for an exclusive look at the still-in-progress primitive trail system at Mill Ridge Park on January 22nd from 5pm-6:30pm. Volunteers will take an approximately 3 mile guided hike of the park, learning about sustainable trailbuilding techniques and picking up litter and debris along the route, while looking for nocturnal critters.

Drinks including hot chocolate, apple cider, and coffee will be available at the trailhead to keep away the cold!

Volunteers for this event should dress for cold weather conditions, preferably in layers. Due to this trail system still being actively developed, there are segments which may be muddy and/or wet. We recommend pants and shoes with adequate tread suitable for outdoor activity on rough, uneven terrain. A portable toilet is available near the trailhead.
